About Me

Paul is the owner of Flea Shop.

I’ve spent most of my life on the move — literally. As a long‑haul truck driver, I’ve travelled every province in Canada and all of the lower 48 states in the United States. From the Prairies to the Maritimes, from the deserts of Arizona to the mountains of Montana, I’ve crossed North America more times than I can count.

During my off‑duty hours, I developed a habit that stuck with me: hunting for local collectable treasures. Small‑town antique shops, flea markets, yard sales, and hidden little stores became part of my routine. Over the years, I’ve picked up unique items with history, character, and stories behind them.

From the Road to the Digital World

Long before templates existed, I started building websites the old‑school way — hand‑coded, line by line, often from the cab of my truck between deliveries. Servers were temperamental, tools were limited, and you learned by breaking things and fixing them again.

For more than two decades, I kept clients online no matter where I was parked. That kind of work teaches reliability, independence, and how to solve problems under pressure.

Under the name Kawartha Marketing, I helped build some of the earliest small‑business websites on the internet. I’ve managed hundreds of domain names, built countless websites, and watched the entire online world evolve — from the pre‑MySpace era to today’s AI‑driven landscape. I’ve seen every trend come and go, and I’ve learned what actually works.

What I Do Today

Today, my work is a blend of everything I’ve learned over the years. I spend my time finding and sharing the kinds of assets that last — both physical and digital.

My work covers the full lifecycle of digital assets — from concept and acquisition to long‑term stewardship and optimization. My office doesn’t have wheels under it anymore, but the work ethic I learned on the road hasn’t changed.

Why I Sell Domains

After decades online, I learned that good domains aren’t about hype or trends. They’re about clarity, strength, and long‑term usefulness. A solid domain is the foundation of any online presence — and choosing the right one can save years of frustration.

Every domain I list is hand‑picked, vetted, and chosen for branding potential and real‑world usability. No fluff. No gimmicks. Just strong digital assets backed by experience.

Why I Still Do This

I enjoy the work. I enjoy the hunt — whether it’s a rare item in a small‑town shop or a perfect domain name that deserves a good home. I like helping people turn ideas into something real.

If you want reliability, experience, and someone who genuinely cares about the craft, you’re in the right place. You’re at one of more than 400 curated digital properties managed under Kawartha Marketing — established in 1997 and still growing.
